The Math of Sales (missing revenue targets? this is for you)

Are you on track on your revenue goals in 2025? Because the growth outlook potential is so HUGE right now.

Take a look at this stats:

AI startups captured 53% of global VC funding in H1 2025; according to PitchBook via Axios
The World Bank projects global GDP growth of 2.9% in 2025 and 2.8% in 2026—still steady momentum.
Investors predict a new wave of AI-driven M&A and IPO activity once regulation adjusts, with some deals projected over $20 billion

but unfortunately, not every founder is celebrating yet.

Gong Report finds 81% of founders have missed revenue targets over the past two years. 67% of enterprises missed 2024 revenue targets; Around 90% of startups fail. Only 34% of startups survived after year 6 (and only 17% survived past year 10)—Because funding alone doesn’t ensure success if persuasion skills are missing.

81% of all failures due to lack of revenue/funding to support cash flow problems and burn rate issues. According to Salesforce, over 82% of founders still use outdated techniques to counter sales objections.

It's the reason why founders are still failing (even after they receive massive funding!)

After doing this for 20 years, here's what I found:

The Math of Sales:

(+) Add Leads (-) Minus Objections = $$$

Example:

100 Leads - 90 Objections = 10 Sales 👎

100 Leads - 30 Objections = 70 Sales!

There's 2 meaning here:

the less objections you need to counter, the more sales you make (like driving straight roads)
the better your skills to counter objections, the more sales you make (like turning corners in F1)

adding more leads is not the answer

If you don't have the skills of countering and removing objections, here's how the math look between 2 dealmakers:

Dealmaker A) 1000 leads - 900 objections = 100 sales << follow up like MAD and burned out

if you have the skills it looks like this:

Dealmaker B) 500 leads - 250 objections = 250 sales! 👍👍👍 <<< works THE SAME but MORE profit

are you Dealmaker A or B?
